FROM THE EDITOR's WINDOW

We're underwater but far from wet for much of this issue with an important and comprehensive seven-page feature on marine sanctuaries. The feature flows on pages 5–7 and again on pages 15–18. On a more above-water theme, some volunteers tell us how volunteering with NPA has rewarded them, and that anyone can volunteer with the skills that they already have and with a common interest in nature and conservation. The special 'Your NPA' starts on the next page and continues on pages 12–14

Thanks to all Journal contributors — many of whom are also valued volunteers!

Regards,
Rosemary Pryor
