The battle to save Wingecarribee Wetland from Peat Mining is not finished

The Interim Conservation Order is just that, interim.

The Giant Dragonfly (around for 90 million years) could still be lost with the Swamp.

So, an Information Day to focus continued support is to be held on Sunday 17 May 1998

What: - programme includes expert speakers, displays, swamp visit, bush band and refreshments

Media arrangements:

Visit to swamp and peat mining area - 12.15pm, 3.30pm, 4.00pm

Media conference at 12.45 pm

Possible helicopter inspection of swamp and surrounding catchment - to be confirmed
