Top 4.... another free utility from Blazermate

This is a very simple game for two. The aim is to drop blocks, one player at a time, so as to get four in a row, horizontally, vertically or diagonally. You may also drop blocks to prevent your opponent from getting four in line. The game ends when both players agree or when all cells are filled. The player with the most sets of four in line wins. The score is shown progressively by happy faces on the bottom line. The player with the most is winning. The control keys are:

Left arrow = move left
Right arrow = move right
Down arrow = drop block here
Q = quit this game
Esc = quit this game

Warning:
This program is offered without warranty of any sort. If you are not comfortable with DOS utilities or are uncertain about your ability to assess the suitability of this software for your intended purpose then please do not use it.

This product has been in home use since July 1995 and was published on the 'net in May 1999. If you really want to try this old software then feel free to download it now. At least you know that it has no virus.

Instructions:
There are two ways to use Top 4. The first is the simplest if you are a DOS person, the other is for Windows 95 types.

1. DOS method. First you must place a copy of top4.exe in a directory listed in your DOS path. Then whenever you want to use it:

• at the DOS prompt, type top4

2. Windows 95 method.

• Save or copy top4.exe to any folder where you can find it again, (you only need to do this once);
• From "My Computer", "Explorer" etc., open that folder;
• Click on top4.exe.

You can also make a short cut to Top 4 in your Windows Start Menu if you know how (Start - Settings - Taskbar - Start Menu Programs - Add - browse for top4.exe - next - click on the "Programs, Accessories, Games" folder - next - Type "Top 4" in the name box - next click on the icon you prefer [say the letter block] - finish).
